What are the general recommendations for aftercare?
What are the general recommendations for aftercare?
Please note that films are, by nature, more vulnerable than paintwork. Special care is required when applying and cleaning the film. It is recommended to use aftercare products with a neutral pH for vinyl films to extend their lifespan. Please remember that the wrapped surface requires the same level of care as the painted surface.
What are the recommendations for cleaning?
What are the recommendations for cleaning?
The film is ready to be washed. Please do not apply waxes, polishes, or clear coatings. Avoid using harsh chemicals or brushes when cleaning the surface. When using pre-spraying cleaners or high-pressure washers, exercise caution. Do not point the spray nozzle directly at the surface or edges.
Avoid directing the water stream at a sharp angle to the edge. Hold the nozzle at least 27.5 inches away from the film and keep it perpendicular. Excessive pressure during washing can damage the applied film by forcing water underneath. Any remaining polish must be thoroughly cleaned off. We recommend promptly removing aggressive contaminants such as tree sap, dead insects, or bird droppings. Use warm soapy water with a soft brush or sponge for cleaning, and rinse thoroughly afterwards. Allow the film to dry naturally, and do not leave water on the surface.
What are the benefits of calendared films?
What are the benefits of calendared films?
Due to their optimal thickness 4.33–6.30 mils (110–160 microns), calendered films are stronger and more durable than cast films. Additionally, calendered films perform better in warmer climates, ensuring greater longevity. Calendered films typically offer a wider range of colours, with gloss finishes being brighter and more vivid.
